Mr. William Guy Mellen "Bill", age 68 of Clinton Township, passed away Wednesday evening with his family by his side, at the Meadows Assisted Living in Mount Clemens. He was born on July 6, 1955 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a son of the late Thomas and Florence (Chauvin) Mellen. On May 20, 1974, William was united in marriage with Janet Russo.

Bill had worked at a Tool & Die Maker at Ronart Industries in Detroit and was a former co-owner of Detroit Fork Lift Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends while boating and snowmobiling. He was a former member of the F.O.E and Windmill Pointe Yacht Club.

Mr. Mellen is survived by two children, daughter, Jill Mellan son, Joe Mellen; one grandchild, Megan Elliott; and three siblings , sisters, Gail Sakacsi, Sharon Armstrong, brother, Frederick Mellen, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, William Guy Mellen Jr., former wife, Janet Russo, and his siblings, brothers, Thomas, Les; and sister, Linda Champine.

Visiting hours are on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 6:00 pm at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
