William James Ferguson Jr., age 83 of Harrison Township, passed away Thursday morning at McLaren Macomb.
He was born September 21, 1932 to William Sr. and Jane (Cain) Ferguson in Detroit. On August 8, 1958 William married Glenda Dunkelberg in Mount Clemens.
Mr. Ferguson served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a science teacher at Switzer Elementary School in Utica for many years before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed metal detecting, going to the casino, and was known as a jokester.
William is survived by his wife, Glenda; daughters, Kathy (Russ) Hubel, Meredith Schaeffer and Stacy (Tim) Lemons, and grandchildren, Michael, Jacklynn, Amber and Brook. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack Ferguson.
Visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Private burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Garden East, Clinton Township.
