Virginia Kay Kirkum, age 77 of Mount Clemens, passed away early Monday morning at McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens.

She was born June 23, 1945 to Angelo and Virginia (Hibbert) Fisher in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On October 30, 1965 Virginia was married to Kenneth Kirkum at Grace Episcopal Church, Mount Clemens.

Mrs. Kirkum was co-owner, along with her husband, Kenneth of Tower Bus in Mount Clemens for 29 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton Township, the Stephen Ministry at church, and the Soroptimist International of Macomb. Virginia worked for more than 30 years counting absentee ballots for local elections, mostly in a leadership role.

Surviving are her sons, Chris (Michele) Kirkum, Dean (Mary) Kirkum and Tony (Michelle) Kirkum; grandchildren, Cody, Trevor, Samantha, Andy, Katie, Alyson and Maggie, and great grandchildren, Kennedy, Jameson, Harper, Emma, Reagan and River. Virginia was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth on December 24, 2009.

Visiting hours are 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2022 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper, Clinton Township with Pastor Kenneth Wise officiating.

Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
