Mrs. Vera M. Plegue, age 92, of Macomb Township passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at McLaren Macomb Hospital.

Vera was born to the late Harvey and Elizabeth (Seidl) Forton on August 24, 1926 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in Mount Clemens. On April 24, 1954 she was united in marriage with Mr. Robert W. Plegue. Vera loved spending time with her family and loved watching sports, and was especially a big fan of the Lions and the Tigers. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and band concerts, playing euchre, cribbage and Yahtzee, and was known for her Annual Christmas Euchre Tournament she held during the Christmas season, and always looked forward to having fun with her family and friends at it every year.

Vera is survived by her children Lynda Lindsay and Robert (Cathy) Plegue; grandchildren Robert Lindsay, Darryl (Julie) Lindsay, Jeff (Lyndsey) Lindsay, Sara Plegue, and Shauna (Tim) Lonsway; great-grandchildren Eugene, Ruth, and Lance; and her sister Wanda Harder. She was predeceased by her husband Robert; sons Ronald and Gerald; and siblings Ila Sierens, Roger Forton, Joyce VanDeVelde, and Wayne Forton.

A visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043.

The funeral service for Vera will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the funeral home with the Reverend Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Vera will be laid to rest at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
