Mr. Thurman W. Garner, age 84 of Mount Clemens, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday morning at Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe.

He was born on April 3, 1937 in _Pinehurst, North Carolina, a son of the late Delaney and Etta (Wallace) Garner. On September 6, 1958, Thurman was united in marriage with Judith Joan Jonas at St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. Mrs. Garner passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012.

Thurman had worked as a head custodian at Atwood Elementary School. He loved cars and motorcycles, a avid gun collector, and enjoyed watching westerns, listening to County music and a big fan of Jonny Cash. He especially loved his dogs and horses. Thurman served in the United States Air Force.

Surviving are two children, Paul Keith Garner and Diana Renee Garner-Conklin; 4 grandchildren,Tyler (Scottie) Donald Conklin, Trevor (Caitlyn) Dane Conklin, Tori Leigh Conklin and Dane Andrew Garner, and his sister, Maggie Ruth Garner, and several nieces and nephews. Thurman was predeceased by a son, Terry Lee Garner in 1997 and 7 siblings, Neuby (Mary Sue), Herman (Francis), Jesse (Lucy), Edward, Quimby (Larry Marie), Junior (Marty) and Lucille (Carter).

Visiting hours are from 3:00 pm until the time of Eulogy at 7:00 pm on Friday, April. 16, 2021 in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funereal Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Private Entombment with Air Force Honors will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Clinton Grove Mausoleum, Clinton Township.

Due to COVID - 19 restrictions, only 25 people are allowed in the building at one time. Please keep your visiting to a minimum as to allow others to pay their respects. Face masks are required (covering nose and mouth). No food or drink is allowed in the funeral home.
