Thomas Clyde DeHate, Jr.

Mr. Thomas C. DeHate Jr., age 93 of Chesterfield Township, passed away Thursday evening at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.

He was born on January 16, 1927 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a son of the late Thomas C. And Mildred Mary (Hebbert) DeHate Sr. On July 10, 1989, Tom was united in marriage with Alice Lusk in Shelby Township.

Tom retired on March 22, 1993 as a janitor at Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility in Mount Clemens. He enjoyed old cars, especially Fords. Tom enjoyed coloring.

Mr. DeHate is survived by several children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; and two siblings, Loretta Schmidtke and Joy Schmidtke. Tom was predeceased by his wife, Alice on December 16, 2020 and a brother and two sisters, Francis and Dorothy.

Visiting hours are on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens with Pastor Doyle H. Andrews of the Church of Christ in Armada.

Burial will be air Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, Clinton Township.
