Thomas Edward Chockley of Peck, a former longtime resident of Mount Clemens, passed away March 11, 2023.

He was born January 11, 1931 to Thomas and Evelyn (Olzack) Chockley in Detroit, Michigan. On November 8, 1952 Thomas was united in marriage with Doralee Furry at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Detroit.

Mr. Chockley served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a process engineer after 35 plus years of employment at Cadillac Gage. Thomas was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Peck, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a former member of St. Hubert Catholic Church, Harrison Township and St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Township. He enjoyed model trains, model airplanes and camping.

Surviving are his children, T. Michael (Debrah) Chockley, Leonard R. (Marlene) Chockley, Denise E. (Michael) Valliere, Ronald D. (Beth) Chockley, Martin E. (Cynthia) Chockley and Lawrence J. (Kathleen) Chockley; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and his sister, Margaret Pillar. Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Doralee on November 10, 2020, and his sister, Frances Helen Chockley.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. (in state at 9:30), Saturday, March 18, 2023 at All Saints Polish National Catholic Church, 5555 17 Mile Road, Sterling Heights with Father Jaroslaw Nowak officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Michigan.

Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Army honors, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, New Baltimore.
