It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susie Smith, age 80, of Macomb Twp., Michigan, who passed away on June 12th, 2025, peacefully in her sleep.

Susie was born on October 21st, 1944, in Dickson Tennessee to Baxter and Mamie Mathis.  Susie graduated from Cass Tech High School and went on to work as the Manager of the Bookkeeping Department at Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Susie married her beloved husband Robert Smith May 16th, 1986, and together they shared 14 years of love and companionship. We want Susie to be remembered by her excitement of traveling the world when she could with friends and family, her huge passion of reading, her love and generosity towards family and of course her baby & sidekick Ozzy, her Chihuahua she recued a decade ago.

Susie is survived by Son Keith (Tina) Avallone, Daughter Dawn Sage, Son Rob (Kelly) Smith, Daughter Tracy Smith, Daughter Kim Smith, Sister Ann (Rick) Logan, Sister Eva (Bob) Bowden, Grandchildren Taylor (Brad), Jacob, Keegan, Steven (Olivia), Kristen (Matt), Amanda (Antonio), Jillian, Jensen, David (Kandy), Marha (Tyler) , Nicole (Tom) and Shelbi along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Robert Smith (Husband), Baxter and Mamie Mathis (Father & Mother), Tom Mathis (brother), Rick Logan (brother-in-law), Bob Bowden (brother-in-law) Matthew Walilko (nephew).

A Celebration of life will be held on date and location yet to be determined.

Susie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her!
