Obituary

Mr. Steven M. Zinner, 69 of Harrison Township, Michigan passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 peacefully at home. He was born to Charles and Elaine (Fresard) Zinner Jr. He was a graduate of L'Anse Creuse High School and Northwood University. In addition, he held a marine captains license. Steve married Barbara (Mouilleseaux) Zinner and together they celebrated 44 years of marriage before his passing.

Steve grew up at the mouth of the Clinton River at his parents Marina. Steve was an entrepreneur whom had a successful marine boat and trailer business. He spent his life sharing his love for Lake St. Claire, boats, trailers, water safety, and fishing with anyone who wanted to learn. He took deep care in teaching boating safety, and hunting safety to people of all ages to be able to enjoy nature responsibly. You could find Steve where
the fish were! When it was too cold to fish he enjoyed hunting with his family up north.

Steve was very active in the Republican Party in Macomb County and was privileged to meet President Ronald Reagan in the White House. Steve believed in freedom, responsibly, and community. He proudly served two separate terms as Charter Township of Harrison Trustee, 1984-88, 1996-2000. He was a member of the Mt. Clemens Old Crowd mens organization. Steve was always willing to lend a hand to those in need regardless of the circumstances.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Elaine Zinner Jr, and brother Charles Zinner III.
