Shirley Ann
Pelka
Sep 4, 1964 — Oct 22, 2019
Shirley Ann (Vaden) Pelka
September 4, 1964 ~ October 22, 2019
Shirley was vivacious, spunky, and quick witted. Shirley loved her gypsy jewels. When Shirley walked into a room people noticed her. It was not her gypsy jewels that people noticed. It was her brilliant sparkle that turned heads. We all loved it when Shirley arrived because when Shirley arrived, she would bring a smile to our faces!
Shirley and her "Ever lovin'", Keith Allen Pelka, just celebrated their twenty- first wedding anniversary. Everyone that saw them together thought of their marriage as a fairy tale. Untilthe day she passed, Keith affectionately called her "my beautiful bride". Keith and Shirley shared a love that is "Forever and a day".
Shirley gave birth to two children but raised four. Her "Sunshine", Eric Super. Her "Baby Girl",Stephanie. Eric and his wife Christine blessed Shirley with two grandchildren. Stephanie blessed Shirley with two grandchildren. "Grammie" loved Mason, Ava, Cade, and Wylee Shirley and Keith became loving guardians, then custodial parents, to Shirley's great nephew and great niece. "Buddy" Adam Mannis and "Lollipop", Alonnah Vaden. Whether she was"Mom", "Aunt Shirley", or "Grammie" Shirley's big heart loved each one dearly.
Her mother; Shirley Patricia Vaden, lost her youngest child, "Shirley Ann". Shirley was her father's "Tiny Darlin'". Her father, Oscar Leslie Vaden, Sr., passed in 1983.
Shirley is also survived by her siblings and in laws. Brother, Oscar Leslie Vaden, Jr. Brother and sister in law; Larry Vaden and his wife Carri. Brother; Jeffrey Vaden. Sister and brother in law, Debra Vaden and her husband Jerry Stanley. Brother in law and sister in law; Tony Pelka and his wife Linda. There are also numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
All of us have memories of Shirley's vibrant personality. Shirley would want all of us to remember her sassy, spunky, and happy. Sashaying about with her gypsy jewels clinging and clanging.
