Shirley Ruth Koch

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Koch, age 89 of Harrison Township, passed away Monday morning at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.

She was born on September 5, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Carlson) Craig in Plainfield, Will County, Illinois. On November 28, 1953, Shirley was united in marriage with Phil G. Koch in Joliet, Illinois. The couple made their home in North Carolina for a few years and have resided at their present address since 1973. Mr. Koch assed away on July 23, 2005 in Mount Clemens.

Shirley was a member of many bowling and golf leagues at Selfridge Fair Base in Harrison Township.

Mrs. Koch is survived by two children, Michael Koch, employed by Means Automotive and Denise Edney, long time employee at Kroger; grandsons, Kevin Edney and Kenny Edney, and great granddaughter, Jade Edney; and her brother, Donald Craig. Shirley was predeceased by her siblings, Harold, Richard (Dick), Roger and Gerald (Barney) Craig.

Private services and burial were held at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, in Clinton Township.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
