Shelley "Aunt Shell" Jean Grasel, 69, of Mount Clemens, passed away on February 2, 2019 in Clinton Township, Michigan.

Shelley was born February 10, 1949 to Forbes and Shirley Duncan. She was alumni of New Haven High School and an active member of the Alumni Banquet Committee. After attending Ferris State University, Shelley worked as a court recorder for 42B District Court in Mount Clemens, and later the federal bankruptcy court in downtown Detroit.  Shelley married the love her life Jim Grasel and she loved planning events, working on projects and participating in her community.

Shelley is preceded in death by her husband James Grasel, her parents, Forbes and Shirley Duncan, and her sister Debra Duncan.

Shelley is survived by her brother, Clifford Duncan; niece Brandee Paul, great-nephew Kerry Paul, great-niece Emily Baltierra, niece Stacey Duncan-Leavell (Jay), nephews Brad Duncan (Angelina), Brian Duncan, and Aaron Duncan (Susan), great-niece Jordan Byle, and great-nephew Blake Byle. She was also blessed with great-nieces and nephews: Rowan, Lucian, Natalia, Aiden, Montana,  Isabella and Lilly.

Visitation will be 2:00pm-8:00 pm Thursday, February 7th at Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held 9:30 am Friday, February 8 ^th at Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Cooney of St.Peter's officiating. Burial will follow at Centennial Cemetery in New Haven. Arrangements by Will & Schwarzkoff.
