Shawn Bradley Almquist, age 28, of St. Clair Shores passed away on Wednesday. Shawn was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 12, 1988 to Sherri Frick and Richard A. Maier. He loved hockey, his family, and being the social butterfly that we've all come to love. Though his life was hard, he kept his faith strong in God.

Shawn is surived by his mother Sherri; his father Richard; siblings Justin Almquist and Danielle Frick; grandparents Cheryle Almquist, Robert Rickett, and Judy Maier. He was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Maier.

A visitation will be held at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, on Sunday, October 16 from 2 - 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17 at 9:30 A.M. at the funeral home with the Reverend Father Michael Cooney officiating. Mr. Almquist will be laid to rest at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, MI following the service.
