Ryan Paul Walega, age 39 of Harrison Township, passed away early Wednesday morning at his home. He was born October 31, 1980 to Kenneth and Karen (Ouimet) Walega in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Ryan earned a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan Technological University and a Master's Degree from Florida State University. He was employed as a senior software engineer at Total Brain, and was a ski instructor at Michigan Tech. He enjoyed rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, and playing tennis.

Surviving are his parents, Ken and Karen; brother, Eric (Amy) Walega; niece, Lauren; nephew, Joe, and grandmother, Josephine Ouimet. Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Lawrence Ouimet, Frank Walega and Helen Walega.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:30) Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss, Harrison Township with Father Douglas Bignall officiating.
