Ruth Russell, age 81 of Harrison Township, passed away Friday evening at her son's home.
She was born September 26, 1935 to William and Ruth (Peltier) Black in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On November 12, 1955 Ruth was married to Henry E. Russell at St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Township.
Mrs. Russell was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Chesterfield.
Surviving are her children, Julie (Marc) Wancket and Joseph (Valeria) Russell; grandson, Jonathan Ray (Abra) Russell; siblings Phyllis (Dan) Turner and David (Cheryl) Black. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry E. on November 6, 2016; loving grandson, Matthew J. Russell, and siblings, William Black, Esther Whitaker, and Bobby Black.
Visiting hours are 2 - 8 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00), Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 31100 23 Mile Road, Chesterfield with Pastor David Ulm officiating.
