Rosaria (Sadie) Russo was 94 years old when she passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Sadie was born on September 15, 1926 to Ann (Agosta) and Nick Russo in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Leo, her sister Ann Frusciano and her brother Andrew.

Family was very important to Sadie. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephew. She never had children of her own, so they were very important to her and she treated them with an abundance of loving kindness and was very generous with them. She was a warm and giving person not only to her family, but to others outside her family who were in need of assistance. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. Sadie was also known for her hospitality. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and regularly invited them over for a big Italian meal. Sadie's laughter and kindness together with the good food made for a very enjoyable afternoon at the Russo's house. Because of her love and loyalty to family, Sadie along with her brother Leo for many years took care of their bedridden mother Ann until her death in 1995. Sadie worked for Parke Davis starting in 1944 until she retired 30 years later. Besides working at Parke Davis, Sadie enjoyed travelling. She always enjoyed relating all her travel experiences along with her many pictures with family and friends. In 1942 when Sadie was only 16 years old she made the decision to be baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and for 78 years until her death she loyally served her God Jehovah. Sadie had strong faith in God and spent years teaching others the Bible's wonderful hope for the future. Sadie's smile and laughter, along with her warmth and kindness will be missed very much by her family and friends.
