Roger James Ary, age 87 of Harrison Township, passed away Wednesday evening at McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens.

He was born December 8, 1937 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Woodruff) Ary in Rockford, Illinois. On February 29, 1964 Roger was united in marriage with Linda May Wollborg at American Lutheran Church, Mount Clemens.

Mr. Ary served in the United States Air Force, and was a member of American Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, bowling, trap shooting and golfing.  He was an avid member of the Huron Pointe Sportsmen's Association and the Michigan-Ontario Muskie Club.  He raised his three daughters on Lake St. Clair, teaching them how to swim and fish at a very early age, and even bowled a 300!  You could also always find him on the karaoke machine at family gatherings performing his favorite country songs from artists, such as Randy Travis and Alan Jackson, just to name a couple.  Roger also loved his dogs, especially his most recent companion, Buddy.

Roger is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Christie (George) Sicken, Sandra Fisette and Kelly (James) Michajlyszyn; grandchildren, Shelby (Paul), Sydnee (Nick), Shannon, Kylie, Jenna and Justin; great grandchildren, Olivia, Elijah "EJ", Celia, Ezekiel "Zeke", and his sister, Sharon Oehl. Roger was predeceased by brother, Donald Ary, and son-in-law, Frank Fisette.

Visiting hours will be from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. (with a 7:00 p.m. service), Monday, May 12, 2025 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Burial with Air Force honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
