Richard William Ziehmer, age 61, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 25 ^th 2020. He was born on September 12 ^th , 1958 in Mt. Clemens to Raymond and Lavern (Chalice) Ziehmer. Rick graduated from Mt. Clemens High School, class of 1976. Rick retired from the City of Mt. Clemens after 34 honorable years of service as Chief Operator of the Mt. Clemens Waste Water Treatment Plant. Rick then went to work for Tetratech Engineering Services as the Superintendent of Waste Water for the Cities of Richmond and Marine City. He also Co-Owned EZ operations. Rick truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had an amazing sense of humor that will truly be remembered. He dearly loved his dog, "Dooley" AKA Mr. Wiggles. He enjoyed his 1962 Corvette, playing the lottery and making people smile. He is survived by his two sons, Richard William Ziehmer Jr, Ryan Thomas Ziehmer and Grandson Richard William Ziehmer III. Rick was Married to Sandra Kay (Mordan) Ziehmer for 25 years. Rick is also survived by his loving Siblings, Susan Durst of Richmond, MI; Raymond (Skip) Ziehmer of Chesterfield, MI; Ronald Ziehmer of Memphis, MI. Sally (Manuel) Bega Jr of Kamuela, HI; Sheryl (George) Mihecoby of Fletcher, OK; and many nieces, nephews and lifelong, dear Friends. He will greatly be missed and also Loved.
