Richard Rolens Sr., age 81 of Clinton Township, passed away early Sunday morning at his home.

He was born September 22, 1938 to Paul and Anne Rolens in Lake Forest, Illinois. On October 1, 1960 Richard was united in marriage with Mary M. Logan at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, Mount Clemens.

Mr. Rolens retired as a Radio Man First Class after twenty years of service in the United States Navy. He then worked as a tool and die maker for 25 years until his retirement from Zenith Industrial. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially attending his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's sporting events.

He is survived by his wife, Mary M.; children, Diana (Joe) Pontone, Anne (Tom) Coffman, Richard (Michelle) Rolens Jr.; grandchildren, Heather, Rebecca, Nicole (Juan), Anthony, Joshua, Dakota, Alexis, Dylan; great grandchildren, Jordan, Chloe, Phoenix, Chance, Mavrik, and his brother, John (Barbie) Rolens. Richard was predeceased by a brother, Tom Rolens.

Visiting hours are 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2018 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00), Friday, December 27, 2019 at New Life Baptist Church, 17301 13 Mile Road, Fraser, MI 48026 with Pastor Arthur Werry officiating.
