Richard Frank Moore Sr., age 65 of Harrison Township, passed away Sunday morning at his home. He was born March 19, 1960 to Lorine (Berry) and Albert Moore Sr. in Mount Clemens, Michigan.

Mr. Moore enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrenching on cars and especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dog, Zoie. Richard lived a life shaped by kindness, humor, and devotion to the people he loved. He believed that the purpose of life was to act out of love as often as possible — a promise he kept in the way he showed up for others, even when it cost him.

Richard worked tirelessly as a mechanic, the kind of man who gave his all without complaint. Yet he still found room for joy: Sunday afternoons cheering on the Lions, Motown melodies drifting through the house, smoke curling from the grill as he perfected a steak. He loved simple moments, and he made them feel special just by being there.

Surviving are his children, Richard (Erika) Moore Jr., Ronnie (Kelly) Moore and Michelle Moore; grandchildren, Savannah, Payton, Liam, Andi, Ronnie and Allison; siblings, Sherry (Kenneth) Terrell, Raymond Moore, Albert Moore Jr., Sally Armstrong, Deb Kirchhoefer and his dog, Zoie. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Lorine, and siblings, Danny Moore, Colleen Collins and Linda Robbins.

Visiting hours will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (visiting at 10), Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
