Polly Anna Hanselman

Mrs. Polly A. Hanselman, age 66 of Macomb Township, passed away on Saturday morning under hospice care.

She was born on October 17, 1953 in Chesterfield Township, Michigan, a daughter of David and Donna (Boccaccio) Drook. On March 6, 1971, Polly was united in marriage with Roger Hanselman at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waldenburg, Michigan.

Polly had worked as a lab secretary at Harrison Hospital. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed reading and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton Township, and was active in Women's League and the Alter Guild.

Polly is survived by her husband, Roger and 3 children, Jennifer, Roger Jr. and Jason; grandmother of 6; sister of Sue Drook (Joe Gersh), Jolene Drook, Melissa Lee, Emma (Robert) DeVeaux, and David (Debbie) Drook; her mother, Donna Wormlight, and three step siblings, Barbara (Carl) Dibble, Richard (Linda) Wormlight and Steve (Linda) Wormlight. Polly was predeceased by her father, David Drook and step-father David Wormlight.

Visiting hours are on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens. Due to Covid-19 restrictions: 10 visitors at a time, face masks must be worn entire time (mouth and nose has to be covered). Food and drinks not permitted. Please limit your time to 10-15 minutes of viewing to allow another guest to visit.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. (in state at 10:00 a.m.) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Avenue, Clinton Township with Paster Ken Wise officiating. Private burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township. Memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
