Patricia J. Helzer, age 84 of Utica, passed away Thursday morning at Lakeside Manor, Sterling Heights. She was born March 17, 1939 to Ira and Viola (Allen) Emrich in Detroit, Michigan.

Patricia was employed as an inspector at Plastco Incorporated for 6 years, and later worked as a cashier at Rite Aid. She enjoyed dancing, playing euchre, solving soduko puzzles, listening to Pit Bull, and spending time with her grandchildren, especially when they did "overnighters."

Surviving are her children, Jeffrey (Michelle) Helzer, Joseph (Bonnie) Helzer, Jaclyn Helzer and Julie (Kenneth) DeBoer; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, and 4 nieces. Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Helzer in 2003; son, Jon Helzer in 1983; a grandchild, Gavin Beach, and her sister, Marilyn Behnke.

Visiting hours are 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, visiting will start at 9:00 a.m.

Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
