Mrs. Nola Matchett, age 87 of Mount Clemens, passed away November 16, 2023 at the Meadows Assisted Living, Mount Clemens.

She was born November 25, 1935 in Clinton, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Teresa (Hunley) Lowe.  On May 5, 1953, Nola was united in marriage with Charles J. Matchett in Clinton, Tennessee. Mr. Matchett passed away on September 28, 1977 in Mount Clemens.

Nola was employed as a supervisor of environmental services at St. Joseph Hospital in Mount Clemens.

Mrs. Matchett is survived by two sons, Charles J. Matchett and Jeffrey A. (Cheryl) Matchett; daughter-in-law, Deborah Matchett; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Theresa, Angie, DeeDee and Tammy; three siblings, Ruth, Barbara and Frank.  Nola was predeceased by a son, Paul  Matchett Sr.; a grandson, Paul Matchett Jr., and siblings, Phyllis, Carolee, Pauline,  (her twin) Lola and Carlos.

Visiting hours are 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 19, 2023 and Monday, November 20, 2023, with a 7:00 p.m. eulogy service at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Private burial at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
