Mitchell James
Turner
Mar 11, 1999 — Mar 15, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mitchell James Turner, age 27, of Harrison Township, Michigan, who passed away peacefully and surrounded by love, on March 15, 2026. Mitchell was born on March 11, 1999, in Clinton Township, Michigan, to Karen and Wilder Turner. He went through life with joy and taught everyone he met how to find true happiness in the simple things. He is lovingly survived by his parents, Karen and Wilder Turner; his siblings, Liberty and Jane Turner; his grandmother, Trudy Turner; his grandfather, Dave Burns; his devoted caregivers, Allison Miller and Kris Strassburg-Dimick; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends throughout the Mount Clemens community. Mitchell lived life on his own terms. He stoped attending school earlier than his peers to spend more time doing the things he truly loved. He loved grocery shopping, cooking, and bar hopping with his parents. He shared a creative spirit with his sister Jane and enjoyed drawing like his Grandpa Jim. A dedicated collector, Mitchell found happiness in gathering the things he loved, including hundreds of Mr. Potato Heads, Legos, and maps. He will be remembered for spreading joy in his orange shirt and blue bucket hat throughout Metro Detroit and "his city," Mount Clemens. Mitchell cherished his "downtown city walks," summer concerts, and regular visits to the Detroit Zoo. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The Engine House, 309 Cass Avenue, Mount Clemens, Michigan. Mitchell will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
