Mike Martinez Jr., age 44 of Clinton Township, passed away Wednesday morning at his home. He was born February 15, 1972 to Juanita (Cortez) and Mike Martinez Sr. in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Mr. Martinez performed internationally in his band Black Magic Crossing, and was employed at Alkar Steel Corporation as a quality manager and salesman. He was an active member at St. Peter Catholic Church, and enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid runner.
Surviving is his daughter, Elisabeth Gilt; mother, Juanita Martinez; sister, Emilia Marie Martinez; his girlfriend of 20 years, Lauri Reno, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Mike Sr.
Visiting hours are 2 - 9 p.m. (7:00 p.m. Rosary), Monday, April 25, 2016 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Funeral mass 11:30 a.m. (in state 11:00), Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
