Michael D. Walsh, age 67 of New Baltimore, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 2, 2019.

He was born March 23, 1951 to Norman and LaDona (Seymour) Walsh in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On October 6, 1972 Michael was united in marriage with Susan Wetzel at St. Valerie of Ravenna Catholic Church, Clinton Township.

Michael was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher, helped with routine maintenance around the church, volunteered at garage sales and helped with MCREST. He spent most of his working life as a semi-truck driver for various companies until his retirement in March of 2017 from Ryder Logistics. Some of his favorite things to do included camping, working on cars, and using his creative side to build anything that was asked of him. He also loved Caribbean cruises where he could spend time in the ocean snorkeling. Michael was always willing to help out friends and family whenever asked.

Surviving is his wife, Susan; daughters, Tanya (Glenn) DeVoy, Tracy Walsh; mother, LaDona Marsack; in-laws, Lark (Henry) Schutt, Butch (Paula) Wetzel; his nephews and their families. Michael was predeceased by his father, Norman Walsh.

Visiting hours at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Tuesday, March 5, 2019 with Reverend David Ulm officiating.  He will be laid to rest next to his father in Clinton Grove Cemetery at a later date.
