Michael John Jeup, age 68 a longtime resident of Mount Clemens, passed away January 30, 2023 at his home.

He was born January 4, 1955 to Mary (Curtis) and Peter Jeup in Champaign, Illinois. On July 6, 1985 Michael was united in marriage with Janis M. DuBay at American Lutheran Church, Mount Clemens.

Mr. Jeup was a 1973 graduate of L'Anse Creuse High School. He was employed by the City of Mount Clemens for over thirty years and served as a Mount Clemens Firefighter for over thirty years. Michael was a member of the GoodFellows, Juggle Up Club, Sons of AmVets Post 29, and was very involved with the Mount Clemens community.

He is survived by his wife, Janis; children, Chris (April) Jeup, Jonathan (Angela) Vaden and Michelle (Nate) O'Brien; grandchildren, Lily, Cassius, Lexi, Caden, Hendrix, Lincoln, Ziggy and Quinn, and siblings, Sue (Greg) Thompson, Patti (Michael) Webb and Tom (Jean) Jeup. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Peter.

Visiting hours are 3:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Memorial service 11:00 a.m. (visiting starting at 10:00), Saturday at the funeral home.
