Matthew L. Price, son of Donald and Gloria Price, was born October 24, 1955 in Mount Clemens. He entered his heavenly home on January 10, 2017 after battling cancer for several years.
Matthew attended Trinity Elementary School, Mt.Clemens High School, and earned his civil engineering technology degree at Ferris State. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Matthew was an accomplished organist and played for Trinity services and for many family and friend's weddings and funerals. His summer passion was boating on Lake St. Clair, where you could find him at his favorite swimming and fishing holes every chance he got. In the winter he loved snowmobiling in the upper peninsula, where he had hoped to retire, close to family, on beautiful Lake Gogebic. Matthew took an early medical retirement from Chrysler and enjoyed the past year traveling to all of his favorite spots and embracing family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Price. His life will be forever cherished by his mother, Gloria Price; sister, Lorilyn (Mark) Price Gregory; nephew, Timothy Gregory, and niece, Emily (Christopher) Cannell. Matt enjoyed spoiling his young nephews and niece, Austin Gregory, Bruce and Juliette. He will also be fondly remembered by his many supportive cousins, friends and neighbors.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. (visiting at 10:00 a.m.) with a luncheon following on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Avenue, Clinton Township.
