Mary V. Czanstke, age 93 of Mount Clemens, passed away Tuesday at Lourdes Senior Center, Waterford, MI. She was born January 21, 1923 to Joseph and Mary (Jankowski) Michalski in Goetzville, Michigan.
Mrs. Czanstke was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens, the Altar Society at church, and the Jolly Seniors, where she served at treasurer for many years. Mary made rosaries for church charities, and enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are her daughters, Loraine (Louis) Jarman, Joanne McArthur and Diane Claeys; step children, James Czanstke and Janice (Jerry) Tryon; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband, John J. in 1988; step son, Robert Czanstke; son in law, Dennis Raulerson, and 10 siblings.
Visiting hours are 2 - 9 p.m. (with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary), Friday, June 17, 2016 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Funeral mass 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:30) Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
