Marion Angela Herdell, age 77 of Mount Clemens, passed away early Wednesday morning at her home.
She was born June 24, 1938 to Charles and Della (Galley) Svoboda in Irwin, Pennsylvania. On April 20, 1974 Marion married Earl E. Herdell in St. Clair Shores.
Mrs. Herdell owned and operated Marion's Beauty Salon, Mount Clemens, and was a 30 year sales representative for Avon. She was a member of the St. Clair Shores Sportsmen's Club, and enjoyed deer hunting, dancing and being with her family.
Surviving are her children, George (Cynthia) McWherter Jr., Kathleen (Richard) Ernest and Lisa (Brian) Wessels; grandchildren, Bobbie Jean (Greg) Burns, Anthony (Tia) Laird, John McWherter, James (Sara) McWherter, Evan Wessels and Jensen Wessels, and great grandchildren, Austin, Christopher, Joey, Shane, Hailey, Liam, Kenna, Genevieve and Ethan. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Earl, and brothers, William, Anthony, Alfred and Carl Svoboda.
Visiting hours are 2 - 9 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Funeral 9:30 a.m., Monday at the funeral home, with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Memorial Park, Clinton Township.
