Marilyn Elizabeth McCaskey

Mrs. Marilyn E. McCaskey, age 87 of Macomb Township, passed away Sunday morning at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital-Macomb Center in Warren.
She was born on July 9, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Herbert and Myra (Rowland) Gellasch. On September 3, 1948, Marilyn was united in marriage with Franklin Wendell McCaskey in Bethleham Lutheran Church in Roseville. Mr. McCaskey passed away on Friday, October 6, 2006 in Mount Clemens.
Marilyn was a member of American Lutheran Church in Clinton Township. She was active at church, Chesterfield Seniors, and T.O.P.S. Marilyn enjoyed oil painting, gardening and cooking, and especially lunch with the 'Girls of 47' (graduating class of 1947 of Eastland High School in Roseville), and going to the cottage.
Mrs. McCaskey is survived by three children, Michael (Janet) McCaskey of Middleburg, Florida, Susan (Harold) Reed of Clinton Township and Dennis McCaskey of Macomb Township; four grandchildren, Michael McCaskey, Eric McCaskey, Wayne Reed and Kevin McCaskey; and four great grandchildren, Steven, Samuel, Corbin, and Cambria. Marilyn was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Keyser and Linda Schwark.
Visitation on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 3-9:00 p.m. in Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.
Funeral service on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. (in state 9:30 a.m.) at American Lutheran Church, 38795 Mulberry Street, Clinton Township with Pastor Becky Bolander officiating. Private burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens Cemetery East, Clinton Township.
