Marian Louise Cowan, age 91 of Warren, passed away February 12, 2022 at McLaren Macomb, Mount Clemens. She was born February 8, 1931 to John and Rosina (Birk) Barg in Sterling Township, Michigan.

Mrs. Cowan was employed in food service at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, playing gin rummy and solitaire, and solving word games.

Surviving are her children, James (Judith) Cowan Jr., Gail Haratyk, Pamela (Dan) Rutledge, Linta Morgan, David Cowan, Matthew Cowan and Mark (Jennifer) Cowan; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Lyman, and many nieces and nephews. Marian was predeceased by her husband, James; grandson, Jimmy Cowan; granddaughter, Vicky Doan; siblings, Earl Barg, Eleanor Lee, John Barg and Walter Barg, and sons in law, Jimmy Haratyk, John Morgan and Joe Smith.

Visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral time of Noon, Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
