Mrs. Margaret L. LeRoy, age 86 of Chesterfield, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Autumn Woods of Warren.
She was born May 6, 1930 to Joseph J. and Elsie (Krause) Spruytte in Detroit, Michigan. On October 1, 1949, Margaret was united in marriage with Louis Theodore LeRoy Jr. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens. Mr. LeRoy passed away January 15, 2005 in Mount Clemens. Margaret has lived for 60 years at her present address.
Margaret was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and maintaining her flower beds.
Mrs. LeRoy is survived by five children, Mona (Richard) Ryzack, Ellen (Gregory) Oke, Arthur (Maria) LeRoy, Nelson LeRoy and Louis (Debra) LeRoy III; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and a sister, Grace (Boyd) McFarland. Margaret was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amy Lacca, and seven siblings, Floyd, Arthur, Calvin and Russel Spruytte, Ellen Roberts, Alice Witt and Ruth Roland.
Visiting hours are 3 - 9 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2016 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
Funeral mass 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:30), Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating.
