Lorraine M. Korte, age 87, of Fraser, Michigan passed away on Tuesday. She was born on September 26, 1929 to the late Cyril and Marie Korte.

A graduate of St. Ambrose in 1947, Ms. Korte worked for Parke-Davis and Company, the Grosse Pointe Public Library, and the Grosse Pointe School System and Board office. She was a beloved member of the Secular 3rd Order Franciscans as well as many other religious and social clubs within the community.

Ms. Korte is survived by her siblings JoAnn Orlando of southern California and Daniel C. Korte of Chesterfield, Michigan; five nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m at the Will & Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48083. A scripture service will take place at 7:00 P.M.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. (in state 9:30), Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, 21201 East 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48082 with Reverend Father Ronald DeHondt officiating.

Private burial 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Mount Olivet in Detroit, Michigan.
