Lorraine Louise DeWitte

Mrs. Lorraine L .DeWitte, age 90 of Macomb Township, passed away Friday morning under hospice care at home.

She was born on April 24, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Achiel and Mary (Wankel) Volkaert. On May 11, 1957, Lorraine was united in marriage with Jerome Cyrille DeWitte at St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. Mr. DeWitte passed away on November 1, 2012 at his home.

Lorraine worked in sales at Sears, Roebuck and Co. for many years. She enjoyed gardening, Tiger Baseball, senior trips with her friends, gambling and playing cards.

Mrs. DeWitte is survived by two sons, Gary (Michelle) DeWitte and Mark (Sandra) DeWitte, three grandchildren, Ryan, Cody and Lauren; her brother, Harvey (Doris) Volckaert. Lorraine was predeceased by a brother, Emil Theirssen.

Lorraine's cremains will be entombed with Jerome at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Township.
