Mrs. Loretta Emily Nece, age 86 of Clinton Township, passed away on Wednesday evening in Warren.

She was born on January 15, 1937, in Hamtramck, a daughter of the late Alex and Theophilia (Salega) Lyszczyk.  On November 10, 1956, Loretta was united in marriage with Raymond Joseph Nece in Richmond.  Mr. Nece passed away on Thursday, February 14, 1985, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Loretta attended St. Thecla Catholic Church in Clinton Township.  She loved her many dogs and cats.  She also enjoyed watching auto racing at the Mt. Clemens Race Track and all of the Detroit professional sports teams including the Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings. Loretta retired in 2001 after 46 years of employment at the Chrysler Corporation.

Loretta is survived by 2 children, daughter, Kathy Nece and son, John Nece and was predeceased by 3 siblings, brother, John Lyszczyk and sisters, Geraldine Lyszczyk and Patricia Yochum.

Visiting and funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 South Nunneley Road, Clinton Township, MI 48035.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michigan Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan.
