Mrs. Loraine M. Remillard, age 95, formerly of Harrison Township, passed away on Thursday at the Church of Christ of Clinton Township.
She was born on March 15, 1921 in Laona, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late William and Helen (Rice) LaFond. On December 6, 1942, she was united in marriage with Paul S. Remillard at St. Michaels in Marquette. Mr. Remillard passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 in Harrison Township.
Loraine is a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clinton Township. She enjoys reading, computers, riding her scooter. Loraine was a former volunteer at Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility and Church of Christ Nursing Home.
Mrs. Remillard is survived by two daughters Christine (Michael) Jozefiak of Watton and Susan (John) Lorenz of Clinton Township, six grandchildren Jennifer Lorenz, Michael (Linda) Jozefiak IV, Paula (Charles) Tigert, John Lorenz Jr., Laurie (Mark) Mathews, and Jolie Lorenz; twelve great grandchildren and her sister, Sueann (Robert) Hulsizer of Stephenson, Michigan. Loraine was predeceased by four siblings, Lillian Anderson, William, Norman and Sterling LaFond.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church, 24415 Crocker Boulevard (east of Harper Avenue) Clinton Township on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. (in state at 9:30 A.M.) with Father Lawrence Petke officiating. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
Visitation will be at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 4:00 p.m.
