Laurine Elise Renkert, age 83 of Higgins Lake, a former longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, passed away early Sunday morning.

She was born November 11, 1941 to Ralph and Evelyn (Vail) Spear in Detroit, Michigan. On February 9, 1963 Laurine was united in marriage with Richard Otto Renkert at St. Veronica Catholic Church, East Detroit.

Mrs. Renkert enjoyed gardening, reading, going to the theater, the color purple, collecting angel figurines, scented candles, taking walks on the beach, and especially loved spending Christmas with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Richard (Becky) Renkert, Mark Renkert, Linda (Steve) Johnson, Steven (Carol) Renkert and Sean (Chris) Renkert; grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Junior, Caleb, Isabelle, Gavin, Aiden and Sloan, and sister, Maria Spear. Laurine was predeceased by siblings, Lynn, Larry, Leslie and Michael Spear.

Visiting hours will be from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., (with a 6:00 p.m. funeral service), Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.
