Larry D. King, age 63, of Mount Clemens, passed away Wednesday afternoon at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens. He was born June 16, 1955, to Isaac and Ardel (Hardie) King in Whiteville, North Carolina.

Larry served in the United States Army Reserves, and was employed at Marsh Industries in Chesterfield. He enjoyed meeting new people and making them laugh, watching sports, working out at the Macomb Family YMCA, long walks, going to the movies, and reminiscing. He especially loved spending time with his children; they were his everything.

Surviving are his daughter Valerie King, and sons Matthew King and Joshua King; ex-wife, Janice King; his mother, Ardel King; siblings Mariam Hardy, Melford (Erika) King, and Tony King; as well as nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his father, Isaac.

Visiting hours will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 with a 7:00 p.m. family eulogy at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. (in state 10:00 a.m.) at Mount Olivet Higher Praise Temple, 34 Grand Avenue, Mount Clemens, Michigan 48043 with Pastor Sylvester Herring officiating.

Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
