Kurt Allen Final, age 58, a long time resident of New Baltimore, MI passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born October 31, 1964 to Robert and Joyce Final in New Baltimore, MI.

Kurt worked many years for the Detroit News, Free Press and The Macomb Daily Newspapers and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Kurt would tell you his fondest memories were spent working as a caretaker for Algonac School District though.

He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, MI. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and going up north to the family cabin in Harrison. He was an avid Christian gardener as well. He loved and valued his friends and family.

Kurt is predeceased by his Father, Robert Final Sr., his brother, Robert Final Jr., his brother in law, Al Ellis and his grandparents.

His is survived by his mother, Joyce Final of New Baltimore; siblings, Debra Ellis of Cape Coral, Florida, David Final of Clinton Township, MI, Cindy Pyne of Polson, Montana, Jennell Bell of St. Petersburgh, Florida, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Visiting hours will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Kurt will be cremated privately and his ashes will be interred at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, MI.
