Kenneth I. Porter, age 83 of Clinton Township, passed away early Monday morning at his home.

He was born February 2, 1936 to John and Marietta (Johnson) Porter in Detroit, Michigan. On August 12, 1967 Kenneth was married to Iva G. "Connie" Gierhart in Pelkey, Michigan.

Mr. Porter was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and worked at Knapp Drywall for over thirty years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed bowling. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his children, David Porter, Wade (Anita) Chandler, Jay (Lori) Porter; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Helen Wonderly and Dennis Porter. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Iva "Connie"; siblings, Jack, June and Ron.

Visiting hours are 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial, with military honors, will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
