June Mae (Bennett) Pointer, age 91 of Mount Clemens, passed from this life into the arms of her loving Savior Jesus Christ on May 29, 2019, the day before her 92 Birthday. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 30, 1927.

She retired from the Mount Clemens School District where she started working in the high school book store after her graduation. She went on to be a receptionist and finally serve as the Secretary to 3 Superintendents of Schools before she retired.

She was married to "The Love of Her Life" Paul James Pointer Sr. for 66 years until his passing in October, 2014.
June was proceeded in death by her father, Cecil Absalom Bennett; mother Agnes Elizabeth (Uttrich) Bennett, Clark; two sons, Kevin Robert Pointer and Paul James Pointer Jr. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Robin (O'Connor) Pointer; daughter Kathy and John Goldenbogen; son George and Cheryl (See) Pointer; and son Patrick and Joanie (Robinson) Pointer. She has 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, June 30 at New Life Christian Church, 31700 Couches in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. A memorial Service will begin at 7:30 pm.

Immediately following the service, family and friends will be gathering to celebrate and share memories at Mangan's Irish Hut at 49 North Rose Street in Mount Clemens. This will be a "Dutch Treat" occasion. In Lieu of flowers, June's request was for donations to be made to Mt. Clemens Public Library.

A committal service will take place on Monday, July 1 at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 2:00pm where she will be laid to rest with her husband Paul.
