Julianne A. Ferrari, age 77 of Ray, passed away December 31, 2021 at Regency of Shelby Township.

She was born January 18, 1944 to Arthur and Angela (Weiss) Schutt in Mount Clemens, Michigan. On May 4, 1963 Julianne was united in marriage to James J. Ferrari at St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens.

Mrs. Ferrari had a long standing career in the health field, working in the Macomb County area. She retired after 10 years of employment at the Macomb County Health Department, and completed her career as admissions coordinator for Lakepointe Villa Nursing Home, Clinton Township. She also volunteered at St. Francis/Maximillian Catholic Church.

Julianne was proud to be a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards with her euchre club, golfing, traveling, summers with friends going to Caseville, and spending winters with her husband in Florida.

Surviving is her husband, James; children, Teresa (Hutch) McElwain, James (Denise) Ferrari and Anne Marie Ferrari; grandchildren, Thomas (Kaley) Kuhn, Anthony (Jodi Townsend) Kuhn and Monica (Simon) Kirma; great grandchildren, Olivia Kirma and Noah Kirma; sister, Angela (Dave)  Willis, and brother in law, George (Dolly) Ferrari. Julianne was predeceased by siblings, Arthur Schutt, Mary Ellen Ireland and Louis Schutt.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. (in state 11:00), Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens, MI. Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
