Juanita Martinez, age 87 a longtime resident of Mount Clemens, passed away July 12 2019 in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born February 27, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas.

Juanita was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Mount Clemens, and was employed at the Mount Clemens Pottery.

Surviving is her daughter, Emilia Martinez; granddaughter, Elizabeth Gilt, and sister, Florence Martinez. Juanita was predeceased by her son, Mike Martinez Jr., and sister, Andrea Lopez.

Visiting hours are 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. (in state 11:00) Tuesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with Father Michael N. Cooney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
