Mrs. Josephine B. Degen, age 107 of Mount Clemens, passed away on Monday July 20, 2020 in Clinton Township.

She was born on June 20, 1913 in CoatBridge, Scotland, a daughter of the late Mathew and Letitia (McCusker) Nicholson. She was married to Clayton August Degen until his death on April 10, 1967 in Ann Arbor.

Josephine was co-owner of the Mount Clemens Dairy and enjoyed her vacations in Florida. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. She enjoyed gardening and knitting.

Mrs. Degen is survived by her son, Bernard (Cheryl) Degen; grandchildren, Robert (Cindy) Kehrig, Timothy Kehrig, Christopher Degen and Michelle Degen; Great grandmother of  Angela Kehrig and Robert Kehrig. Josephine was predeceased by a daughter, Letitia Kehrig and 6 siblings, William, Mark, Annie, Margaret, Kathleen and Tommy.

Funeral prayers will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Noon at the Trinity Chapel Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038 with the Reverend Father Michael Quaine officiating.
