Joanne Marie Basler

Mrs. Joanne M. Basler, age 93, of Clinton Township, passed away on Saturday at the Baldwin House in Clinton Township.

She was born on October 15, 1929 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Werth) Jones. On October 4, 1951, Joanne was united in marriage with Charles Basler in St Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens. Charles passed away on May 15, 1964 in Mount Clemens.

Joanne was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Mount Clemens and a member of the Alter Society. She enjoyed playing Bingo and going to her casino's. Joanne worked for the Macomb County Sheriff Department in gun registration.

Joanne is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Charles) Durnford; granddaughters, Michelle (Tim) Flatt and Erica (Adam) Trussler; great grandchildren, Jackson and Kendall Flatt and Sean and Matthew Trussler; siblings, David Jones and Linda (David) Springer, and sister-in-law, Edna (Jim) Goddard, and sister-in-law Mickey (and the late Richard Basler). Joanne was predeceased by 6 siblings, Mike Jones, Vern Jones, Joyce Redman, Marilyn Baumgarten, Gary Jones and Bob Jones and sister-in-law, Kathryn Wadkins, and Joanne's in-laws, Earl and Mae Basler.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:30 am (visitation at 10:30 am) at St Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mount Clemens with the Reverend Father John Maksym officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Clinton Township.
