Janice K. Henderson, age 73, of Chesterfield Township, passed away on Thursday at her home. She was born on December 4, 1943 to the late Ernest and Hallie (Padgett) Brown in Overton County, Tennessee.

Janice was an employee of the Kmart Corporation for 22 years. She enjoyed boating, the outdoors, & recently traveling on weekends with Lawrence up to their new property in Gaylord, Michigan.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her soulmate of 43 years Lawrence King; two children Jeffrey B. Leal and Charles D. Henderson; step-children Jill King, Roy King, and Colleen King; sister Shirley Hichen; grandchildren Brittany Leal, Jager Cole Leal, Charles Henderson III, Patrick King, and Darrin King. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty 'Teetsie' Ledbetter.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot, Mount Clemens.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. with the Reverend Father Michael N. Cooney officiating.
