Janet Sue Pegelo

Mrs. Janet Sue Pegelo, age 84 of Clinton Township, passed away Tuesday afternoon at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens.

She was born on July 16, 1935 in Sullivan, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leon M. and Grace M. (Cox) Snyder. On March 21, 1953, Janet was united in marriage with Frederick F. Pegelo, Sr. in Mount Clemens. Mr. Pegelo passed away on Saturday, May 19, 1984 in Harrison Township.

Janet was a member of Utica Church of Christ. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo and playing cards.

Mrs. Pegelo is survived by her children, Gina Tacia, Douglas (Katerina) and Jeffery; siblings, Leon Snyder Jr., Sandra Gardner and Connie Woodley; and 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Janet was predeceased by her son, Frederick Jr., grandson Joshua, and siblings Virginia Socia, Patsy Clark, Linda Beals and David Snyder.

The visiting hours are on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Avenue, Mount Clemens.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Bryant Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
