Mrs. Iris F. Heimes, age 93, recently of Chesterfield Township, passed away on Wednesday morning at Henry Ford Hospital, Clinton Township.

She was born on November 25, 1929 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, daughter of the late Louis and Matilda Harder. On March 26, 1949 she was united in marriage with Lawrence C. Heimes in Mount Clemens. They spent most of their married life in Roseville.

Iris enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, was an avid reader of mysteries and loved spending time with her husband at their McDonald Island cottage.

Mrs. Heimes is survived by two children, Susan (Arthur) Lefebvre of Casco Township and Karen (Terry) Quick of Chesterfield. Also surviving are six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Iris was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, a son, Allen (Laurie) Heimes and two siblings, Kenneth Harder and Ilene Byrnes.

Private burial was held at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
