Harvey John Kahler, age 74, of Clinton Twp., passed away in the early morning of June 2. Harvey is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Lonnie, his son, Jason, and daughter, Wendy, his five grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Gabrielle, Nicholas, and Sarah, his sister, Sharon, his sisters- and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Dave and Pricilla and Larry, numerous cousins, and countless other friends who were blessed to know him. He is predeceased by his sister, Margaret, and his parents, Pearl and John.

Harvey worked for NBD as Vice-President of Purchasing. In his semi-retirement, he enjoyed driving people who needed transportation to their medical appointments.

He was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Clemens, where he served as an Elder and Deacon for a number of years.

Harvey enjoyed coaching his children in tee ball and softball, and cheering on his grandchildren in sports and during music performances.

An appropriately joyous celebration of his life is being planned for the end of the summer.
